What this app does

Core benefits

Inventory workflow

  1. Open the Inventory tab.
  2. Fill in Date Received (invoice auto‑creates).
  3. Add size, style, color, source, repurchase link (optional), barcode, and comment.
  4. Tap Take Photo or Choose from Library.
  5. Tap Add Inventory Item.

Mark an item as sold

  1. Find the item and tap Edit.
  2. Enter Date Sold and Price Sold.
  3. Tap Save Changes.

Layaway workflow

  1. Set Layaway Status to Layaway when a payment plan starts.
  2. The item stays out of Sold until the final payment is made.
  3. When paid, change Layaway Status to Paid to move it under Sold.

Barcode scanning

Using your handheld barcode scanner

  1. Pair the scanner to your phone/tablet via Bluetooth (HID keyboard mode).
  2. Open Inventory and tap the Barcode field so the cursor is active.
  3. Scan the barcode. The number will type into the field automatically.
  4. Tap Add Inventory Item or Save Changes.

If the scan does not enter, re-pair the scanner and confirm it is in keyboard/HID mode.

Use the flowchart for a quick, printable overview of both workflows.

Printable summary of the system value and scope.

Tax tracker workflow

  1. Tap Tax Tracker and enter the password.
  2. Add expense details and a receipt photo or PDF.
  3. Tap Run OCR on Receipt to auto‑fill.
  4. Tap Add Expense.

Payment methods

Choose a payment method from the dropdown:

Category totals

Monthly reports

  1. Scroll to Monthly Reports inside Tax Tracker.
  2. Select a month/year.
  3. Review totals, category breakdown, and transactions.
  4. Export with CSV, Text, or Print.

Exporting data

CSV files open in Excel, Google Sheets, or can be sent to an accountant.

Invoice imports

  1. Save the invoice scan as a photo or PDF.
  2. Use the template files in the project folder:
  3. INVOICE_IMPORT_TEMPLATE.md for naming rules and notes.
  4. invoice-import-template.csv to list line items.
  5. Send the invoice file + CSV for import into Inventory and Tax Tracker.
